Ultrasonic Levitation Soldering Kit
This is a 12V DC ultrasonic levitation soldering kit, designed as an educational project. The circuit operates in air at a 40 kHz frequency and can levitate lightweight objects with a diameter of 2–3 mm, such as small foam balls.
🔧 Easy Soldering
The circuit is simple and includes few components, making it ideal for beginners and hobbyists who want to:
-
get familiar with electronic components,
-
practice their soldering skills,
-
understand circuit operating principles through hands-on experimentation.
⚠️ Includes SMD (surface-mount) components, so careful soldering is required.
🌀 Working Principle
Once powered on, the object is placed at the node of a standing wave. At this point, an acoustic radiation force is exerted on the object, which overcomes gravity and allows ultrasonic levitation.
⚡ A 12V DC power supply is required (not included in the kit).
👨👩👧 Fun and Educational Activity
This kit can also serve as a fun and engaging family activity, offering a unique opportunity to learn and practice soldering, while also understanding the principles of ultrasonic standing wave levitation.
📘 Detailed Instructions
Before soldering, check all components according to the included instructions, and follow the step-by-step guide.
