The stripboard for subtraction offers a clear opportunity to practice the basic tasks in the number space 18. In particular, the transition from 10 to 10 is trained.

Example:

In the arithmetic task 13 – 5, the numbers above 13 are covered by a white stripe. Now the child places the blue 5-stripe on the number 6.
The remaining free boxes show the result of the arithmetic task.
