Description

PAP Pen – Hydrophobic Barrier Pen

1. PAP Pen provides a light blue hydrophobic barrier solution compatible with common clearing agents.
2. Use these pens to create thin hydrophobic barriers around samples on positively charged glass microscope slides.
3. Draw barriers in any desired pattern to contain and localize reagents over specific regions on the slide.
4. Pap Pen is used for Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF).
5. Each PAP Pen can create a minimum of 2000 circles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective usage.

Appearance (Colour): Blue to Dark blue

Recommended Usage :

  1. Shake the pen well after capping it tightly.
  2. Before using, uncap the pen and press the nib gently upward to release air. This prevents overflow.
  3. Press the pen tip against a clean glass microscope slide until liquid flows into the nib. Avoid oversaturating the tip to prevent excess reagent pooling on the slide.
  4. Let the reagent on the slide dry for 1 – 2 minutes before immersing it in an aqueous solution.
  5. Store the pen capped tightly at room temperature with the tip facing down when not in use
