Solar Cell Car

Experiment with “green energy” with this Solar Cell Car.

Operates on either sunlight or a rechargeable AA battery (NiH-NiCr  1.2V). – not included.

A four position switch allows you to choose between:

1) running the car on the solar panel,

2) running the car on a battery,

3) recharging the battery from the solar panel or

4) “off”.

Two nozzles allow measuring the voltage and current developed by the solar cell in all four positions of the switch using e.g. a digital multimeter, (not included). The solar panel can be tilted to show the effect of the sun’s angle on the solar cell voltage.
