Thermal Conductivity Apparatus, 5 rods

Five different metal rods are inserted through stoppers in the side of an aluminium pan.

Wax is placed in dimples in the ends of each rod.

Hot water is poured in the pan and the unit is observed while the wax is melting, demonstrating the order of conductivity of the metals.
